I have always felt lucky in my life. I was born into the world's best family, grew up with love and support and met and married my best friend. I have more than I could have ever imagined and everything I need to be happy.
But the past year has been particularly amazing to D & me. We celebrated a year of marriage, bought our first home and gave thanks for two stable and rewarding jobs. We both were promoted, we (ok, I) won a tv (since when do I win things? Lucky I guess) and our two favorite football teams won their respective national title games. We spent the holidays with D's family and traveled with mine. We formed new friendships and spent time with old pals. We loved every minute of it.
When I think about how our lives play out, I can't help but feel lucky. We have wonderful friends, incredible families and a beautiful home – our cup runeth over.
